वर्गीकरण जीवाणुओं का वर्गीकरण आकृति के अनुसार किया जाता है। उदाहरण-
1. दण्डाणु (बैसिलाइ) – दंड जैसे,
2. गोलाणु (कोक्काई)- बिन्दु जैसे,
3. सर्पिलाणु (स्पिरिलाइ) – लहरदार आदि।
