As sadhaka-s, let us introduce ourselves to the world of sounds…. शब्दप्रपंच | The cause of the world of things…. अर्थप्रपंच …. is परमेश्वर । In the context of sound, परमेश्वर is शब्दब्रह्मन् । The entire world is said to be born of शब्द … शब्दप्राभव | Evolution is the result of the self movement स्पंदन of Shiva-Shakti. The line of evolution is from the subtle to the gross. There are five stages to the emanation of sound.

• Mental Voice Analogy ( Idea ) or Etymology ( source of idea )
• Spoken Voice Analogy (material voice )
• Written voice Analogy (immaterial shape )
• Meaning or referential level Analogy ( target of idea )

• The first is परा which is absolutely supreme and subtle. This can best be described as the storehouse from which inspirations would first emerge. परा वाणी अश्रव्नीय, अननुमेय,अप्रतर्क्य तथा अदृश्य है.यह वाणी का मूल रूप है और आत्मा के साथ एक रूप है |

• यह वाणी का सबसे सूक्ष्म और मूल रूप है।
• यह ब्रह्म या परमात्मा की अनंत और अनादि वाणी है।
• यह शाब्दिक शब्दों से परे है और केवल अनुभव के माध्यम से ही ग्रहण की जा सकती है।
• यह सृष्टि की उत्पत्ति का कारण मानी जाती है।

• sound , there is a primary sound which is almost equivalent to space ( sound of breath or open gush of air ) = similar to the dot space
• The second is पश्यन्ति which is less subtle but is still undifferentiated. This would be the inspiration that would eventually give rise to a thought or an idea. तब यह श्रुति बन जाती है

• यह परा वाणी से उत्पन्न होती है।
• यह मन में उठने वाले विचारों और भावनाओं की अभिव्यक्ति है।
• यह वाणी अभी भी शब्दों से मुक्त होती है, लेकिन यह परा वाणी की तुलना में अधिक ठोस होती है।
• यह रचनात्मकता और कल्पना का स्तर है।

• sound , Extension of the vibrations in the vocal space produce the first sound ( A ) or a breath cycle = Similar to a line
• The third is मध्यमा which is grosser and undifferentiated, though not articulate. This is actual thought process which goes into concretizing the idea…. a plan of action.

• यह पश्यन्ति वाणी से विकसित होती है।
• यह मन में उठने वाले विचारों को शब्दों में ढालने का प्रयास है।
• यह वाणी अभी भी पूर्ण रूप से व्यक्त नहीं होती है, लेकिन यह वैखरी वाणी की ओर एक कदम है।
• यह विचारों को आकार देने और उन्हें दूसरों तक पहुंचाने का स्तर है।

• Articulate sound/Articulated Idea is called वैखरी which further takes two forms: subtle and gross. It is from that that all the letters वर्ण , words पद and sentences वाक्य are manifested. The subtle forms of these letters are the mantras. The gross takes the form of the language we use.
• primitive Sounds or idea inside the mind , all other sounds like vowels and consonants belong to the two dimensions = 2D shapes or geometric primitives

• यह माध्यम वाणी से विकसित होती है।
• यह वाणी का सबसे बाहरी और भौतिक रूप है।
• यह शब्दों और ध्वनियों के माध्यम से व्यक्त होती है।

• वर्णः is that form of sound which cannot be broken up further into smaller parts. It is therefore also called अक्षरम् |

• Written sounds / Written Idea

• अक्षरम् , when put together to intelligently express thoughts and feelings is called the पद .
